Nuts & fruits produced in the UK, South Africa, Kenya, Malawi and Tanzania. With high quality assets across a variety of geographies and crops, we utilise innovative technology to ensure a sustainable future. Our core nuts & fruits crops include macadamia, avocado, apple and specialty crops including pear, plums, cherries and grapes.

Avocado
Kakuzi Plc are the largest producer of Hass avocados in Kenya and as a Group we have a long-term production plan in place to utilise our expertise in the product and expand into other African regions including Tanzania and South Africa.
We have expanded our orchards by 65% since 2017
Smallholders
The smallholder initiative includes the sharing of cultivation, pest and disease control as well as harvesting to ensure they are able to export a good quality product.

Macadamia
2nd largest kernel producer in the world
3% of global production
The Maclands brand growers own the entire process from seedling to packed nut across three countries of origin. Macadamia nuts are grown on our farms in Kenya, South Africa and Malawi. The nuts are dehusked, cracked and graded at our state of the art cracking facilities then exported as raw Kernel.

Apples & Pears
Operating throughout South East England, c.90 million apples are harvested every year. The main varieties are Royal Gala, Braeburn, Cox and Bramley.
Bardsley also grow three varieties of Pears: Conference, Comice and Concorde. A commercial pear orchard can last up to 30 years which makes it a great investment for future generations.
Apples and pears are sold in the UK.
Other Fruits

Plums
Bardsley grow 12 varieties of plums on South East England. Plums are all sold to UK retailers from July to September.

Cherries
Bardsley grow British cherry varieties such a Kordia, Lapins, Penny, Regina, Sasha and Skeena.

Grapes
Bardsley planted their first 8 Ha vineyard in 2019 with Chardonnay vines. The grapes that are produced are destined to be made into high quality English Sparkling Wine.
