A New Hub for the Local Community

Kakuzi-Commuity-Centre

Maintaining close working relationships with the neighbouring communities is important to Kakuzi. They do this by appreciating their neighbours' concerns, especially regarding the impact of their operations.

In line with commitments made under the settlement of claims in Kenya, Kakuzi have completed the construction of one community centre and work on the second is set to begin soon. The centres are conveniently placed for easy access by community members to allow for regular meetings to take place between Kakuzi's community liaison team and community members.

The community centre will be a hub that allows people the opportunity to socialize, learn and access key services. The centre will also promote and enhance participation and dialogue between the company and the community. Thus, improving relations between the company and community members ensuring they can share their concerns, ideas and requests freely.
