The BRC Global Standard is universally considered as a benchmark guarantee of quality, safety and operational performance for the UK retail industry.

ACS&T successfully passed the rigorous BRC audit at all sites, Grimsby, Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury and Scarborough.

ACS&T were one of the first temperature controlled logistics companies to gain the BRC Storage & Distribution Standard in 2008 and have consistently achieved accreditation every year since.

Managing Director Malcolm Johnstone said: “We are very pleased with our achievement, which means our customers can be assured that their products are handled, stored and delivered in a quality endorsed environment.”

The assessments cover hygiene, food safety, environmental standards, operating systems, traceability, product flow and handling requirements, which provide a benchmark for best practices within storage and distribution.

ACS&T aligns its continuous development of processes to the requirements set out under BRC Global Standards for continuous improvement.

Mr Johnstone added: “Our policy of continuous improvement drives our organisation forward.  This allows us to make a real and positive impact on behalf of our customers’ businesses.”
