The roots of Camellia were established 129 years ago. High in the hills of north-east India, pioneering Victorian planters established a small, seemingly insignificant tea garden in the remote district of Cachar. Today Camellia employs over 80,000 people worldwide and last year generated revenues in excess of £250 million. A long way indeed from that first small garden in Cachar over a century ago.
